Hi! I’m Kristin, & I’m stitchin’ :)
Kristitchin evolved from a childhood love of knitting and designing & was revived in the chaos of 2020 when all bets were off. Fiber Arts became a tangible outlet in 2021 for my creativity to flow while following my dream to make the world a little lovelier and a little weirder.
I sew surf ponchos and surf socks from recycled towels, knit baby mobiles, wall art and apparel for humans and animals, participate in almost anything creative with fiber and spread optimism and self love with The Happy Thought Project.
I have a ten year background in education, I’ve been in therapy most of my adult life, I value self healing to a high extent, I believe when we’re better we make the world better, and I have an irrational love of fiber arts. I live in a van with my cats and am absorbing this freedom, innovation and sometimes notable chaos.
My dream is to educate, connect and offer service to this world in whatever way that shows up.
Likely through fiber though, I love me some fiber.

What I want you to feel when you come to this space is acceptance; I want you to remember who you are and remember that who you are is an amazing masterpiece. Truly. If you wanna wear that pom pom, you ain't too old! If you wanna wear a technicolor poncho, have at it! If you have a crazy idea for some knit art being, tell me! If you wanna learn a new skill or a new way of looking at a known skill or just hang with like minded peeps, come hang out! I want you to feel nostalgia for what once was or could have been and remember the simplicity life can hold when we let go of its complications.
We're all wonderful weirdos and can do so much when we come from a place of love and acceptance.
